New Year! New Hues!

Happy 2019, y’all! Thought I’d kick off the new year with my favorite color trends. These shades are influencing many of my current projects (including a few in my own home!) and making waves in the design world. Step aside, Millennial Pink.

CRISP RED. No dated burgundy here. We’re talking a bright, sharp red that infuses a room with equal parts sophistication and cheer. I’m loving the vivacious shade for bedrooms, dining rooms, and anything lacquered.

GRASS GREEN. I’ll be honest. Right now, I’m drawn to greens of all varieties. But I’m especially smitten with mid-range takes on a grassy green. It livens up secondary spaces such as bathrooms and butler’s pantries and brings an unexpected jolt to formal rooms. (Check out Instagram for my dining room revamp, where the walls are now coated in Farrow & Ball’s Folly Green. Can’t wait to show you more soon!)

POWDER BLUE. It’s hard to go wrong with Powder Blue. The airy color works virtually everywhere and is especially pretty on textiles and cabinetry. Just opt for versions with a cool gray undertone to avoid erring on a baby boy’s nursery look. Bonus: This hue can work as a neutral, meaning that it plays nice with almost any other scheme you decide to layer in.
